IMPORTANT NOTICE: BEACON CRM SECURITY INCIDENT
The Naval Children’s Charity has been informed that Beacon CRM, our database provider, has experienced a cyber security incident involving unauthorised access to its systems.
Beacon believes that copies of its database backups may have been downloaded. This means that The Naval Children’s Charity beneficiary and organisation information held on the platform, including names, emails addresses and other contacts details, may have been accessed.
We are making all our beneficiaries and organisations aware of the incident so that they can remain vigilant. Beneficiaries and organisations should be cautious about unexpected phone calls, messages, emails, links or requests for personal information, as contact details could potentially be used for phishing or other unsolicited communications.
Our email notification was sent to both current and former beneficiaries who details remain within the Charity’s data retention policy.
Beacon is investigating the incident with external cyber security specialists and is working with the relevant law enforcement and regulatory authorities. The Naval Children’s Charity will provide further information should this become necessary.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact us at db@navalchildrenscharity.org.uk

The Naval Children’s Charity provides support to help children and young people CYP (up to and including the age of 25) of Naval families, serving and veterans. Our aim is to ensure Naval children have the opportunities and abilities to thrive, and take pride in, their unique lives and experiences.
